Colombia to us, was a land of colors, birds, fruits and hammocks. Vibrant landscapes, thousands of brilliantly colored birds, and an abundance of fresh fruits defined our experience.

Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a South American country celebrated for its remarkable natural diversity, from Caribbean and Pacific coastlines to the Andes Mountains and the Amazon rainforest.

During our journey, we explored Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena, the Salento Coffee Region, and the Amazon, among many other unforgettable places. Our time in Medellín, a city once known for its dangerous past, added a powerful contrast to our journey and is explored in a separate post.
