Japan is a country we had wanted to visit for a long time, and it offered a travel experience unlike anywhere else we have been. Japan is full of shrines, temples, and large gardens with ponds and brightly colored flowers in full bloom. The country is organized beyond what you can imagine and is remarkably clean everywhere.

One thing you won’t miss in Japan is how incredibly quiet it is. We have experienced quietness on trails, mountain summits, and in museums, but in Japan it is part of everyday life. Even in the midst of thousands of people, most public places remain noticeably quiet.
